Our warm weather will continue into the weekend, but we will have to concern ourselves with the possibility of some severe storms Sunday.
Today is looking mostly sunny with temps warmer temps in the mid 80s by late afternoon. There will also be enough humidity around to make it feel more like summer. No real rain chances for Saturday, but some storms may come our way late Saturday night into early Sunday morning. This is not the main act as far as storms go, but even some of these could be strong or severe Sunday morning.
The greatest threat for severe weather will likely come after 4 PM Sunday and then into the evening hours. T-storms will be developing ahead of a low pressure system in Nebraska and will move eastward. Some of these storms will be strong enough to produce wind and hail and possibly a few tornadoes. We will be watching this situation very carefully.
A few more storms could develop Monday, but the primary threat may be east of the Metro as cooler air begins to move in and stay with us the rest of the week.
Have a great weekend!
