Rachel Pierce is the co-anchor of ABC5 News at 5, ABC5 News at 6 and Ten at 10 on ABC5.

Previously, Rachel served as Anchor/Reporter at WOWT-TV in Omaha.

Rachel graduated magna cum laude from Oklahoma City University, where she received a B.A. in Mass Communications. During her last summer there she was awarded an internship with the British Broadcasting Company in Washington, D.C. where she also did freelance research and coverage of White House briefings.

After college, Rachel took a position as producer and eventually main anchor of WQOW's weekday Daybreak program in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, just miles from her hometown of Chippewa Falls.

A daughter of the Midwest, Rachel is happy to make Central Iowa her new home with her husband Matthew and their daughters Lydia and Piper.

She enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities, from running marathons to playing with her dogs to out playing her husband on the golf course. She is also an avid photographer and painter.  Rachel is also very involved in the Des Moines metro, she is active in her church and is a board member of Variety the Children's Charity.  Rachel and her husband enjoy traveling the world together, South Africa and mainland China being among some of their recent stops.  Please send story ideas to rpierce@myabc5.com
