Hawks Lose a Heartbreaker

The Iowa Hawkeyes lose a heart-breaker tonight in the Big Ten Conference quarterfinals to Michigan State, 59-56. Iowa had a last-second chance to send the game into overtime but Devyn Marble's desperation three-pointer couldn't go down. Iowa now ends the regular season with a 21-12 record and 9-9 record in Big Ten play, which puts them squarely on the bubble regarding their NCAA Tournament hopes. Mike Gesell led the way for the Hawks tonight with 9 points.
