The Republican Charles Schneider has won the Iowa Senate District 22 race Tuesday night.

The 39 year old defeated the Democratic candidate Desmund Adams by a margin of 56.56 percent to 43.36 percent. He received 5,371 votes compared to Adams' 4,117 votes.

District 22 includes Waukee, Clive, Windsor Heights and part of West Des Moines.
