Man Arrested On Suspicion of First-Degree Murder

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - Cedar Rapids police say a woman is dead and a man has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder.

Police say officers were called to a domestic disturbance in an eastern Cedar Rapids neighborhood around 11 p.m. Friday. When officers arrived at the home, they found the body of 68-year-old Anita Jean Labkon.

Police say 44-year-old Edward Cusic was arrested at the scene. He is being held at the Linn County Jail.

Police say no further details of Labkon's death or Cusic's suspected involvement will be released until Monday.
