A 9th grade basketball coach is no longer with her team, after resigning amid a student sex investigation.
The investigation began after another high school coach told administrators. They then contacted the Polk County Sheriff who arrested 30 year old Melissa Eshelman, Thursday.
She is charged with sexual exploitation by a school employee.
The Bondurant-Farrar Principal and Superintendent confronted Eshelman about the complaint last week. After school administrators contacted authorities, detectives made contact with Eshelman.
She turned herself in Thursday and posted bail a few hours later. She has also voluntarily resigned as the 9th grade girls basketball coach.
When asked to explain what happened between Eshelman and the student, a Polk County Sheriff's spokeswoman would not go into more detail.
Bondurant-Farrar Community School District says they will continue to fully cooperate with law enforcement.
