It's the most wonderful time of the year and the busiest for many local shops around the metro, including one bakery in Valley Junction.
"There has got to be a way to have a job and like what you do life is too short to not like what you do everyday all day and I thought well I love to bake and it took off," says Nancy Earll owner of Nans Nummies.
Earll has a thriving bakery in Valley Junction. In fact this time of year sales are through the roof. November and December business is three to five times greater than any other month. "I am famous for my Christmas cookie platters and we do all our cookies from scratch and that is what people love," says Earll.
This year she will have to hire a nighttime baker because orders are pouring in already.
Valley Junction will be holding their annual Christmas event "Jingle in the Junction," on November 29th and December sixth and 13th. Nans will be giving out free samples if you want to try her cookies.
