Vacant Home Catches Fire Overnight

A boarded up house became engulfed in flames on two floors early this morning.

Des Moines Fire got a call just before 3 a.m. for a home at 1334 East 13th Street.

Fire officials say the fire was on both levels of the house when they arrived.

It's still unknown how or where the fire started.

Officials can't yet say whether the fire was suspicious.

The home suffered significant damage, totaling several thousand dollars.
