PHOENIX, Ariz. - Former Iowa State point guard Diante Garrett has been
added to the 18-man training camp roster for the Phoenix Suns, announced
yesterday by the Suns front office.
Garrett joins Ike Diogu, Othyus Jeffers, Solomon Jones and Luke Zeller as recent additions to the Suns roster.
A
native of Milwaukee, Wis., Garrett was an All-Big 12 Second-Team
selection and USBWA All-District VI pick for the Cyclones as a senior in
2010-11. Garrett led the Big 12 and ranked 11th nationally in assists
(6.1 apg) in his final season in Ames.
He ended his career as Iowa State's all-time leader in games played (128) and is second in school history in assists (611).
Garrett participated on Phoenix' 2012 Las Vegas Summer League squad, averaging 4.6 points and 2.6 assists in five games.
