ABC5 to Broadcast 4th Congressional District Debate

SIOUX CITY JOURNAL, KCAU-TV, WOI-TV ANNOUNCE

4TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT DEBATE, BROADCAST

 

SIOUX CITY | The Sioux City Journal, KCAU-TV and WOI-TV are pleased to announce they will sponsor and broadcast a live, one-hour debate between U.S. Rep. Steve King, R-Kiron and Democratic challenger and former Iowa first lady Christie Vilsack, D-Ames on from 7-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012 at Morningside College's Eppley Auditorium in Sioux City.

 

The debate will be moderated by Tim Seaman of KCAU-TV and Amanda Krenz of WOI-TV.  The panel will consist of Sioux City Journal Opinion Page Editor Mike Gors, Sioux City Journal Des Moines bureau chief Mike Wiser and KCAU-TV Anchor Jenna Rehnstrom. The debate will also include questions from community members selected by the campaigns, Journal readers and KCAU-TV and WOI-TV viewers.

 

Admission to the event is free. Each campaign will distribute a limited number of tickets to supporters. General seating is open to the public and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Doors will open at 5:30.

 

This debate will be broadcast in Sioux City on KCAU-TV and in Des Moines on WOI-TV.  It will also be streamed live on siouxcityjournal.com, kcautv.com and myabc5.com.
