Jessica was born in Iowa, lived in the Chicago suburbs, and went to college at the University of Missouri-Columbia. So she feels at home in the four states and is excited to continue her career in journalism here.
She worked as a general assignment reporter at KOMU 8 News while in Columbia and spent four months as an intern at the NBC London Bureau. Among the interesting projects she worked on, Jessica also co-produced a short documentary on the negative effects of plastic. She loves traveling. Jessica has been to nine countries and plans to add many more to that list; she's also big into genealogy.
Her heritage goes back to France, which she blames for her interest in the country's language and culture. Plus, she's a huge Latin dance fan: Salsa, Bachata, Rumba, and Cha Cha. Jessica also enjoys scrap booking and is a "self-proclaimed" modern artist.
Jessica has played softball her entire life and is looking forward to playing with a co-ed team in the summer. Jessica enjoys reporting because she learns something new every day and touch people's lives. From education to health to the environment, news is a great resource. She hopes to be able to bring important issues to you and your family.
