Sunday will be a day to be very mindful about the weather, as we are expecting severe storms possible early morning but especially in the evening. Tonight we will see storms develop in western Iowa and move east through the morning, and while some of these storms could be severe with hail and heavy rain, most of our severe weather will hold off till the afternoon.
Sunday evening is likely to experience our most severe storms, some of them even capable of producing a tornado. I expect these storms to begin to develop sometime after 4 or 5pm, and they will be moving from west to east across Iowa. Again, most of these storms will have the potential for damaging winds and hail along with the isolated threat of a tornado. Be sure to be watching the weather especially during the late afternoon and evening.
Next week we will keep some rain chances in for Monday and Tuesday, but our temps will cool off as our weather dries out for the rest of next week.
Keep an eye on the skies and stay safe!
